Aisha Jamila Hinds is a well-known American actor. Her fame is due to her role in television series The Shield, and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003 she has demonstrated her versatility in acting by performing outstandingly in TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Her first recognition came from her performance as Anna in the 2005 movie Assault on Precinct 13. Her role in the biographical film All the Way as the feminist campaigner Fannie Lou Hammer brought her to the attention of the public. Hind also received high praises for her performance as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 9-1-1 is renewed for a third season with 20th Century Fox Television. Hind has completed filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is due to be released in mid-2019. Her father Krishnaraj is an Army Scientist, who passed away on the 18th of March, 2017, as well as her mother Vrinda are both homemakers.
